Michael's Adoption and Sealing

Michael Edward Bielefeldt was officially adopted by Karl and Charla Bielefeldt on Wednesday, September 17th. He will be sealed to them in the Birmingham Alabama Temple at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 11th. Guests need to wear Sunday clothes and white socks. We have arranged for babysitting from some friends for our out of town guests.

Here's a picture of the first time we saw Michael drink from a straw. We couldn't get him to stop tipping the cup up.

This is Michael just after we left the courtroom of the probate judge that signed his adoption order. By the way, the wheelchair ramp is impossible to find there.

This is Michael tickling his biological brother Zachary on the day we brought Zachary home. Michael is a terrible tickler; he just sort of pokes you in the stomach, but he has fun doing it. Legally, Michael is not considered part of Zachary's family anymore, so we probably will only be able to keep Zachary a few more months as there is a legal family member who is interested in adopting Zachary and family members get precedence over foster parents.
