Our New Blog

I have had my old family news web site since before blogs were called blogs. It will be sad to see it go, but it is time to retire it. When I started it, most of my family members were just starting a tenuous relationship with email, let alone making their own web site. Now, almost everyone who was a regular poster to the family news web site has a blog of their own.

The common technology surpassed me, and I wasn't able to devote the time I needed to maintain the site up to the standards I wanted. This new blog has the added advantage of being much easier for Charla to contribute to.

I've tried to maintain the information that many of you came to the site for. The sidebar on the right has many good sources of information, from the most recent posts to all of your blogs, to the current time and weather for family members scattered across the country. The contact information is now in a password-protected spreadsheet that everyone in the family can edit, in order to keep their own information up to date. Hopefully, this format will be easier to use for things like automatically printing Christmas card address labels and the like.

I know some of you are still reluctant to fully embrace the blogging revolution, so I will continue to post news for anyone without their own blogs.

Enjoy!

Glad you've entered blogspot! Sad to see all your ingenious computer work go, though. By the way, do you ever sleep? You always seem to be "available" at o-dark-hundred over there.
BTW I just saw that I was logged in under Mike's name, sorry about that.
